Jason Goldstein
Super Mixer Jason Goldstein might be best known for his Grammy-winning mixing on Beyoncé’s BDay. The album has racked up 3.5 million sales worldwide, and won a Grammy for Best Contemporary R&B Album. Goldstein mixed 10 of the album’s 11 songs, including “Irreplaceable,” which spent 10 weeks at the top of the mainstream U.S. Top 100 Billboard charts and was Grammy nominated for Record of the Year. Along with “Irreplaceable,” Goldstein mixed the worldwide BDay smash hits “Déjà Vu” (which received Grammy nominations for Best R&B Song and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration) and “Ring The Alarm” (which earned Grammy nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance).
He’s also highly regarded for his career-defining work mixing five of the six singles on Jay Z’s The Blueprint. In addition, his discography includes working with Ludacris, Jill Scott, R. Kelly, Michael Jackson, Fleetwood Mac, David Bowie, Nat King Cole Orchestra, Kelly Rowland, Nas, Jennifer Lopez, LL Cool J, Rihanna, and Mary J. Blige, and Toni Braxton. Most recently, he mixed both The Wack Album and Turtleneck & Chain (nominated for a Grammy and an Emmy for Best Comedy Album) for The Lonely Island. The fictitious comedic pop group created by SNL writers Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone and Andy Samberg features the touch of Dr. Luke, among an impressive array of guest artists including Adam Levine, Lady Gaga, and Justin Timberlake.
