The sheer brilliance of KAWS’ art is that he knows all the perfect spaces to put his ACCOMPLICE character in to create the most buzz. On KAWS:HOLIDAY’s 10th stop on its never-ending world tour with All Rights Reserved, the 45-meter-long rabbit-like character has been put next to 9th-century Prambanan temples. For two weeks, KAWS:Holiday will be on view at this UNESCO World Heritage Sight that pairs contemporary art and ancient architecture.
KAWS said in a press release, “I am honored to have my sculpture on display in Indonesia, where it can be enjoyed by the public and become a part of the vibrant cultural landscape of the country. Art has the power to bring people together and inspire meaningful connections, and I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to that through my work.”
The Prambanan Temple Park Complex is open every day from 8 am to 5 pm. Visitors must pay a fee to visit the park where they will be able to see the ACCOMPLICE statue from now until August 31.Prambanan Temple AddressJl.
